Bizarre News Stories

Have you ever watched the news and saw a story that made you laugh because it was so weird?  Well I have searched and found some weird news stories.  I would like to share some of these stories with you.  So sit back, and get ready to laugh, cause here we go!

I bet many of you ladies wear bras with wires. Why?  We wear bras with wires for support.  Have you ever thought that that wire may save your life?  A woman in Detroit credits her bra with deflecting a bullet fired at her during a break in at her neighbors home.  The 57 year old woman looked out her window at the time one of the three men fired a shot.  The bullet smashed through her window pane before hitting her bra’s underwire.  It did not penetrate her skin.  Police say that she went to the window after a burglar alarm at the house next door sounded.  Her neighbor was not home at the time.  The suspect drove away after the shooting.

Turn your cell phone off before robbing a bank!  In Fayetteville, N.C. police are looking for a pregnant woman who tried to rob a bank, but left empty handed after answering her cell phone.  Um, time out… if you were robbing a bank, (not that any of us would, and not that I am in any way condonine robbing any bank) but IF YOU WERE…. would you maybe, turn off your cell phone?  Fayetteville police spokeswoman said tht the woman had a handgun and demanded money when she entered a Carter Bank and Trust branch at 9:43 am Tuesday.  She got distracted when her cell phone rang.  She began to talk to her caller and left the bank with no money.  Nobody was hurt.

The next story teaches criminals to make sure they have enough sleep before robbing a house.  Usually a robber breaks into a house while the victims sleeps, but not in Whitley Bay, England.  24 year old Mark Smith snuck into Heather Stephenson’s house.  he crept past her while she was ironing, and went through all of her belongings in her bedroom.  Then he fell asleep under her bed!  Mrs. Stephenson found him there and called the police who had to drag him out from under the bed.  Vodka and Valium consumption was to blame.  Smith spend 18 months in jail for burglary.  Bet he had lots of time to sleep then!

The next guy is the world’s dumbest criminal… in my book.  In Geneva, NY 29 year old Estrada Junior was pulled over because the car he was driving had been reported stolen.  Estrada explained that he had stole the car to drive to the Geneva police department to turn himself in for a family court warrant.  Well, that’s one expensive ride!!  The police took him straight to Ontario County Jail where he was held on car theft charges.  Dude… next time get a taxi!!!!
