Casey Anthony Facing The Final Jury

Casey Anthony, aka Tot Mom is on trial for her life. She is accused in the disappearance and death of her child. A little girl known to all as Caylee. She is loved by the country and mourned by people that know the family only through what has been reported in the media. Cindy Anthony is the grandmother of Caylee and mother of Casey. George Anthony is the grandfather and father. Lee Anthony is Casey’s brother. Then you have a list of other characters involved in this family’s life that will never be the same.

Today, the prosecution and defense rested after presenting closing arguments. The prosecution presented great information regarding everything used from the home of the Anthony’s where Casey and Caylee lived most of the time. The smell of a decomposing body in the trunk of Casey’s car. The stories and continued lies of Casey Anthony, the cold emotions of Casey any time information or emotions were on the stand. The only time she showed any emotions was when it had to do with her stories not being believed.

Her family cried on the stand and a nation cried with them. But Casey showed no emotion at all. She accused the whole family of abuse and sexual abuse, but when they denied it, she looked angry. She seemed to be able to come up with a new story each time another story broke in a different case. It became her story. Did Caylee drown in the family pool? Maybe. Perhaps Casey put her in the pull to float on a floaty and got distracted with her cell phone, friends and the nights plan for a party life.

Next the defense presented their closing arguments. They repeated many things and tried to add a few more ideas, but were stopped short. They did their best throughout the trial to throw out evidence, declare a mistrial, object to the death penalty, accuse others without evidence, lie and so much more. The more they tried to cast guilt on George Anthony, the guiltier Casey looked. The duct taped animal burials in their youth was what they grew up with as normal. It did not reflect badly on George Anthony, but provided more evidence that Casey was following a family tradition in the case of her little daughter.

As the jury begins to prepare to cast votes that will end Casey’s life or grant her freedom and access to more children, they have a lot to consider. Everyone will have an opinion, but one thing is sure. This family will never be the same. What happens if Casey Anthony is found not guilty due to reasonable doubt? Does she move back in with her mom and dad? I would not trust having her in my home ever again even if she was my own child. Is she innocent, guilty, just a terrible liar, a bad seed getting away with murder? If she is released will she murder again?
