Chicago: American City with The Czech Track
City Mafia. Exactly is the most well-known city almost ten million in the U.S. state of Illinois – Chicago. Last year, in exchange, inter alia, for hockey fans, because the local famous Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup and had to forget about competitive sports. The city itself takes on many other attractions.
Chicago has several nicknames, which makes it really interesting. Most people think of the famous Italian mob of Al Capone, a town “famous”, fewer people know the other nicknames: City of musicians, the second largest Polish city.
The first confirms the possibility of perhaps a music bar on every corner, where every day is pulsating live music. In some ways you can play even yourself. In Poland, the Chicago again in common is that they often tell us how they are living through community-branched many Poles after Warsaw, the capital.
In addition to the northern neighbors, however, have an important place in the history of Chicago and the Czechs. One of the districts named Plzen (Pilsen) and on the shore of Lake Michigan, which is as large as the whole Czech Republic. Much more is known, however, the name of Anton Cermak. Yes, it is Czech and the former mayor of Chicago, after which it is named today one of the city’s streets.
