Computer Crime

Computer crime has become a very large issue in our society today. It is a new problem in our society today and it is a crime committed from a computer. These include embezzling, breaking into other computers, cyber porn and various other crimes that have a drastic effect on the society. Since computer technology is new it has really no laws to govern it. So many of the crimes committed on computers often go unpunished. The only way illegal pornographers can be caught is through chance leads, tips-off and telephone tracing.

 Many crimes committed on computers through the Internet are very new also.   Many people who commit computer crimes are hackers or people who hack into computer systems for fun and for gaining access to information. Most computer hackers’ beliefs are from association with other hackers, not family members and teachers.

   Since the internet has become a global tool   many of the crimes that are committed extend beyond national borders. So computer crime   has made the global community smaller. This can be seen with the virus ‘Love Bug’.

  Computer crime causes a drastic effect on the world in which we live. It affects every person no matter where they are from. It has made those who committed the crimes into top headlines. But computer crime will be there as long as there is internet. Luckily, the government is making steps to control the internet. If passwords are replaced for more secure forms of security and if the internet is in the controlled form then there stands a greater chance of reducing computer crime.
