Crime Does Not Pay

A look at occasions when the saying of “Crime does not pay” is an understatement.

Daniel Glen lived in Winsor, Ontario and thought he would rob a convenience store after all he had done it twice before. Dan the man phoned up the convenience store and asked how much money was in the till. The clerk phoned the police and they were waiting for Dan as he walked through the doors. Now that was bright!

Peter Addison decided to ransack a children’s campsite in Heaton Mersey, Stockport. After he and his friend had nearly destroyed the camp Peter got the wonderful idea of writing his name on the wall. Not only did he write his own name but he also added the name of his gang. The police had no problem finding him and his gang.

A lady who was 95 years old and in a wheel chair was more than a match for the burglar that tried to enter her home. At 3 pm she heard someone at her door and he had managed to open the door and was trying to take the chain off. Before he accomplished this the lady grabbed a screwdriver and drove it into his hand and arm repeatedly. While she was doing this she was also on the phone calling the police. When they arrived they found 46 year old Robert Horsley on the front porch passed out from blood loss. Not a good night for Robert. He is not facing a jail sentence for first degree burglary.

We are aware that most shopping malls lose a lot of merchandise every year from shop lifting but this guy takes it a bit to the extreme. A man entered the Meijer in western Michigan to steal a very expensive set of knives placing them all around his waist inside a belt. Once he got outside the store he began to run. He tripped and fell on the very knives he had stolen and stabbed himself in the stomach, first he was taken to the hospital by the police and then to jail but will only face shoplifting charges. Makes you wonder if he still thinks it was worth it.

In St. John’s, Newfoundland a guy robbed a convenience store he left the store with the money and started running the clerk called the police who happened to be close by. The police arrived and started looking for the culprit. It didn’t take long to find him as they followed him right to his door. Now you’re wondering how they could do this on a very dark night. It is simple the thief was wearing running shoes with lights in the heels. There’s nothing like keeping up with the style.

A very interesting and humerous article. These criminals do sound as if they were not endowed well in the brains department.
    Good work.

Great collection! When my eldest was 3, she scribbled her name inside a cupboard door, and blamed her baby sister. Criminals should not sign their work – my daughter is pretty much rehabilitated now.

Good for the wheelchair lady. Perhaps he would have murdered had been able to enter her place. Crime doesn’t pay. An excellent message.
