Delinquent Stealing
My thoughts on school and delinquent stealing.
This topic is something that has gone through my mind since the beginning of this [08-09] school year. Something I have realized is that many children in middle school and high school will steal something, maybe not always valuable and sometimes very little or cheap, but none the less stealing. When given the chance, these kids will take anything just to take them! My phone was recently stolen at a community park, and one of my friends things were taken straight from class. Later I found out from Verizon that the stolen phone would be useless to the thief that had taken it, because of Verizon’s policy. When a phone is reported “lost or stolen” the phone is denied service from the carrier, and is now of no use. So what good did it do to the person who stole? Nothing, just a useless piece of junk to them, probably in a trash can right now. And what of the things my friend had stolen from him? No one has any use for his school things, because they are already used. So basically, my point that I’m trying to make is that even though your things have no use to anybody else, people will take it just to screw you over. But my thought is this: when my phone was stolen, I wanted to take someone else’s phone just because mine had been stolen. But I didn’t, when others would have. If everyone does one nice thing to 3 people every day, and tell them to do the same, the world would quickly be a better place because the numbers would multiply so quickly: 3,6,9,12,15…. and so on and so forth. So when something happens to you, be spontaneous and do the right thing for once, and maybe someone will do something for you in return. {Please comment}
