Still, many people lose their identity each day. Then dishonest people come and steal it. They then use social security numbers and addresses to buy things. Sometimes it takes a lifetime to recover.
Victims are called on the phone by collection agencies. Some collection agencies make them pay. If people would check with freecreditreport.com, they will find where they have been violated. Then they can go to the police to do a report. It sometimes costs to do a police report.
Don’t take your personal information in your purse or wallet. Don’t trust everybody you know. You can stop it from happening to you. Protect yourself by leaving your private information at home.
