Doctors Japan Buy Kidneys From The Mafia

Japanese courts have arrested a doctor named ToshinobuHoriuchi (56). He was spotted buying a kidney for U.S. $ 100thousand from a mafia gang.

The kidneys are from someone who owes it a criminalorganization. In the trial in Tokyo District Court noted, Toshinobupay eight million yen (U.S. $ 100 thousand or about Rp931, 5million.

“This was a crime committed by an individual physician by usingthe power of money. There is no pardon for it,” said AtsuoWakzono the sentencing judge sentenced to three years in prisonfor the doctor.

Six others, including Toshinobu old wife, Noriko (48), was also sentenced for the offense in the purchase of organs from 21-year-old boy.

The trial also revealed Toshinobu been successfully transplanted.

But the illegal practice was revealed after purchase Toshinobukidney failure at 10 million yen, because he did not come to termswith the mafia.

Japanese law prohibits the purchase of organs. Japan’s healthrules only allow organ transplants may be performed by family members.

Currently, at least 13 thousand people waiting for organtransplants in Japan. Every year, usually only allowed to do 300transplant operations.

It happened because of tight regulations and low public awareness about it.
