Does a Pedophile Live Next Door to You?
by Chances are you could be living with a pedophile or sex offender just right around the corner or right next door. This article discusses the weak laws this country has when sentencing convicted pedophiles and sex offenders.
When is this country going to wake up from this delusion that we are the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave? Our country houses more inmates than any other country. We have people in jail for smoking a joint, yet; everyday in this country, we let pedophiles run free in our neighborhoods, where our children play. Everyday I watch the news and everyday, a child goes missing. Each time, I hear how police have questioned over 150 sex offenders that lived within a 5 mile radius of the missing child. One hundred and fifty sex offenders living within 5 miles of one another and around our children. Have we all gone simply mad! Why would we put a pot smoker in jail and let someone who raped an eight year old out in regular society, to live amongst our children. It just seems as if our country is crawling with these sickos and no one cares!
There are even parents out there, who condone socializing with sex offenders! Neveah Buchanan’s mother is a perfect example of why you should never socialize with a sex offender. Don’t get me wrong, there have been quite a few people who got caught up in the system that didn’t deserve it. I knew someone who was dating a girl that was 16, he was 21. She loved him, wanted to be with him and they had consensual sex. Once mom and dad found out, everything changed. They filed statutory rape charges. The judge found him guilty and he is now a permanent resident of the Sex Offenders List. This I find unfair. However, in lil Neveah’s moms case, her sex offender friends, yes as in plural, were charged with more serious crimes than having a girlfriend too young! Why, why would this mother defend her sex offender friends over her daughter? She is even quoted as saying “not all offenders re offend.” Is this women living on another planet? The biggest argument we have to help support harsher penalties for sex offenders is that they do indeed, re offend.
I simply do not understand why the laws for sex offenders is so weak and excuse me for saying, laughable and not in a good way. These laws mean nothing to these people, why should it, the consequence is a joke! Sadly, lil Neveah was found, dead, on a creek bank, covered with cement. Her killer, still at large.

I live right across the street from a convicted child molester. Ive seen him partying with under age children, with them coming and going everyday. Younger, school children walk past his house everyday going to and from school. Letters were mailed to all the people on the block, informing them of his presence. This man(?) is on lifetime probation, after serving three years in prison, for the molestation of an eleven year-old girl, when he was twenty. I have asked a local Sheriff, and he responded by telling me that as far as who comes and goes from his house, thats up to the parents of the children involved. I told him, that there is a good chance that the parents dont know their children are going over there, while they all sit out on the front porch drinking beer. He is protected by law of the same rights everybody has, until he breaks the law again. So, I asked, nothing can be done about this monster, enticing underage children into his house with free beer and who knows what, until there is another child molested. He unwillingly said, “thats right”. Well, what was the point of mailing all these notices out, informing everyone of the danger, if nothing can be done, until he molests another child? The children I see going over there are not from this block. He is protected, by the same laws as everyone else. I am disabled, and I am not able to follow these children home, to inform their parents of the situation. It is a situation so frustating, and terrifying, I simply dont know what to do. This animal shouts obscenities and laughs at me the whole time he knows there is nothing I can do. And, according to the law, there is nothing I can do. My situation has to be repeated across the country, and I cant understand why there isnt anything I can do.
