Does a Pedophile Live Next Door to You?
by Chances are you could be living with a pedophile or sex offender just right around the corner or right next door. This article discusses the weak laws this country has when sentencing convicted pedophiles and sex offenders.
Its not just men that find thrill from molesting and killing small children as seen in the Sandra Cantu case. Melissa Huckaby, 28 was arrested for the kidnapping, rape and murder of little eight year old Sandra. This case goes to show you cannot even trust your neighbor’s just because they aren’t on the sex offender list. You just never know who you are living next to, you never know, who just hasn’t been caught yet. In these extreme cases where a child’s life is lost, the punishment usually fits the crime. However, why must a child die, before we punish a child molester? Why does our country continue to act as if this problem does not exist? Where are all those brave souls America is so proud of having? Why haven’t any of us really stepped to the plate when deciding a proper consequence for someone who likes to touch small children? Are we a nation of molesters? I think not, but how is it, these people get away with their crimes or are released into society to prey upon another innocent victim?
I wish this were the land of the free, for our children. For them to be able to run outside and play without the fear that some sicko is going to take off with them. I wish this really were home to the brave. The brave that are willing to stand up against this Nations weak consequences for such a horrible crime. It is time to demand a National Law that dictates exactly how pedophiles and sex offenders should be dealt with. These laws need to be tough. They need to stick and they must strike the cord of fear into any man or woman who finds an uncontrollable urge to mess with our youth. I say free all the prisoners in for petty drug crimes and make room for rapists! I say build more halfway houses and permanent housing for pedophiles. A place they are monitored 24/7 but still get counselling, but are there for life, period. They need fitted with ankle bracelets and tracked at all times. However, they should not be living next door to someone with children, period. Which is exactly where these sickos are moving.

I live right across the street from a convicted child molester. Ive seen him partying with under age children, with them coming and going everyday. Younger, school children walk past his house everyday going to and from school. Letters were mailed to all the people on the block, informing them of his presence. This man(?) is on lifetime probation, after serving three years in prison, for the molestation of an eleven year-old girl, when he was twenty. I have asked a local Sheriff, and he responded by telling me that as far as who comes and goes from his house, thats up to the parents of the children involved. I told him, that there is a good chance that the parents dont know their children are going over there, while they all sit out on the front porch drinking beer. He is protected by law of the same rights everybody has, until he breaks the law again. So, I asked, nothing can be done about this monster, enticing underage children into his house with free beer and who knows what, until there is another child molested. He unwillingly said, “thats right”. Well, what was the point of mailing all these notices out, informing everyone of the danger, if nothing can be done, until he molests another child? The children I see going over there are not from this block. He is protected, by the same laws as everyone else. I am disabled, and I am not able to follow these children home, to inform their parents of the situation. It is a situation so frustating, and terrifying, I simply dont know what to do. This animal shouts obscenities and laughs at me the whole time he knows there is nothing I can do. And, according to the law, there is nothing I can do. My situation has to be repeated across the country, and I cant understand why there isnt anything I can do.
