Up to 40 per cent also said when they die, perhaps even conscious. Since 1976, when capital punishment was again restored in the U.S., was executed by lethal injection of 788 people. The procedure usually involves injection of three substances: the person gets the substance, which he put to sleep, medicine to suppress the activity of muscles and finally potassium chloride, which stops the heart. Doctors and nurses have with regard to professional ethical principles prohibited from participating in executions; technicians who carry it out, but do not have adequate experience in particular with the first phase – suspend.Executions are not carried out by doctors, but trained prison staff. It happens that some substances are not condemned injected directly into the blood, but maybe a muscle or just under the skin. Then the effect is dramatically weakened. In these cases, the lethal agent pancuronium to stop breathing. Low dose ofdoes not deprive the condemned of consciousness. Low dose of potassium chloride stops the heart, not only that, but also cause severe burning. Then executes under the influence of pancuronium slowly suffocates.
