Facebook Poke: Woman Faces Up to a Year in Jail
by A 36 year old woman in Tennessee, United States, faces up to a year in jail by using Face book to “poke” her victim and violating a protection order.
Shannon Jackson from Hendersonville, Tennessee and aged 36 has been arrested by police for using Face book in which to violate a protection order.The woman used the well known social networking site in which to try and attract someones attention by using the web site’s popular “poke” tool. Police considered that she had broken an earlier ruling that prohibited her from telephoning, contacting or any other form of communicating with the petitioner.Newspaper reports from The Tennessean claim the police have managed to obtain screen grabs from the alleged victim’s face book page showing the “poke” evidence. Jackson could face a year in prison and a fine of $2,500 if found guilty.
