Female Youth Violence

Views on females and violent acts.

Females are just as capable to commit violent crimes as males. These crimes may be done to intimate partners, loved ones, and the violence may be done to themselves. A lot of this violence comes from movies, TV shows, NEWS, and the parents of these young women. If nothing changes the young women of today will end up in the system as a lost cause.

Women may be pushed too far, by their intimate partners, they will lash out with violence. Domestic violence is mostly reported by women against men. Men may be too embarrassed to say a woman is beating them, so, these acts of violence are not being reported to the proper authorities. Also, young women having children at a very young age can cause resentfulness toward the children. With nothing but animosity for the choices the young mothers made they will abuse their children. Confused and no one to blame but themselves they will lash out against their own body. These acts may even include doing drugs or cutting their bodies to cope with the bad choices made in previous years.

A lot of people believe women are nurturers and cannot be as violent as men. Most street violence seems to come from men. Women are not far behind the men in the street violence. Many more young girls today are going to jail for gang related activities. These young women, some even mothers, will participate in beatings and hazing. Some of these young women are being influenced by their boyfriends. They may do these acts out of fear, love, or loyalty.

Women see themselves as the women in the moves. They want to be just like the stars they see on the big screen. When the young women see a woman take an ice pick and stab someone, they are impacted and not in a good way. Taking what they have seen and using it in real life will send them to jail. It’s like these women don’t know or just don’t care.

Women are capable of being as violent as men. The young women may be influenced by the men in their lives to commit these violent acts. They are acting out fantasies seen in the movies. Also, women may use violent acts on the intimate partners, loved ones, and their own bodies. These women will beat their children as a result of anger. Something needs to change before it is too late for the young women.

I agree to some extent. Violence is not exclusive to any gender; male, female, or everyone in between. And the perpetrators are not the only ones to blame. Most victims let things happen to them, wittingly or unwittingly. Everyone has a share, or needs to share, in preventing violence.
