Funny Fishy Tale

Fisherman have endless stories of fishing tales, this one had I not been there, I would have never believed.

Funny Fishy Tale

Fishermen have a fishy tale to tell; and had I not been with them that day I would not believe a word he said.

We sent out on Friday for a weekend of camping and fishing, campfires and a few beers, along with our fishing gear we were on our way. When we arrived it was late so we gathered some firewood, built a campfire and pulled out one of the five dollars sandwiches from Subway, and had a beer.

We all told each other our fishing tales, our different experiences of camping and other outdoor experiences. Tomorrow promised to be a beautiful Spring Day, with the summer off to a great start; it was Memorial Day weekend. Packing up our gear, making sure we all have the fishing license required for this area, not that anyone of us read the requirements or bothered to find out wish fish were in season. Shame on us, as you will soon find out.

The day started slow, a fish his, and tree branch there, a big mouth bass, and a few other types of fish that are found in fresh waters. We all had caught our share of fish and were about to call it a day; get back to camp and enjoy our catch of this day. Then it happened; the pole was bending I was sure it was going it was going to break. I hear the rod clicking and snapping, I was not sure he would get this fish to shore, but he neither the fish nor this man was going to give up. After about what seems to be hours, but it was about twenty minutes we could see the fish. DAM IT WAS HUGH! The fight continued until finally the fish was caught and place in the bucket, but not after we all viewed the massive size of this fish.

its a story really about the one that got away.I always think its a shame to kill a large fish, if it was me i would let it go to get even bigger.

This is quite a fish tale, and instead of the old saying “it got away”, this was “it was given away”, back to its natural home. When I was a child caught a very large carp, left it in the basket in water overnight off the dock, in the morning we went to show others and to our disappointment a poisonous water snake had gotten in the basket and chewed him up :(
I wish you many, many more fishing trips where you are able to catch THE BIG ONE again!
