Gary Glitter Free to Travel

Gary Glitter once a famous Rock Star was jailed in Vietnam for sexual offences on a 10 and 11 year old. He was imprisoned. When he came back to the UK he was placed under a travel ban.

I sure everybody will be glad to see the back of him but that is not the answer to that one. He is a paedophile and although the Magistrate thinks that being 67 years will prevent him for re-offending. Well, we hope so but there are too many contrary stories  to this crime. If only these judges and magistrates would read about what it means for a child to be sexually assaulted they would surely think twice about letting these characters out of prison or in Gary Glitter’s case let him travel again.

There is a book called ‘This Bird Flew Away’ where it is well described what it must be like. The author Lynda M. Martin describes it very well but in a tasteful manner. The book tells further how slowly but surely the girl is trying to salvage her life to prevent this horrible incident destroying it or commit suicide. The author was an outworker, working and helping with children as young as two and three. There she has an full professional and many years of experience of the effect of these crimes. She says they are horrendous. Yet, the world does not want to face to full fact of the impact. This book ‘This Bird Flew Away’ should be read by most adults. 

Although it is more and more in the newspaper these days but the world still tries not to look deeper into it. Especially judges and magistrates who come up to paedophile cases don’t seem to realize how life destroying it is for the child. It has been done a lot and gets dealt with much better but nevertheless jail sentence of a few years of which they come out after a couple or so years it not answering the crime. They scruck it off and the victim’s life is almost destroyed.

THE FULL IMPACT OF THE CRIME HAS TO BE FACED AND JAIL SENTENCES HAVE TO BE MUCH HIGHER. STOP THINKING THAT PAEDOPHILES CAN BE OR ARE CURED. THEY ARE NOT.
