How to Handle a Confrontation
Here are some proven ways to handle a confrontation if you should be attacked or mugged.
If you should ever find yourself in a dangerous situation, here are some tried and proven ways to most successfully have an effective and safe outcome.
- Cooperate if you truly believe the mugger will harm you.
- Don’t fight unless you have a clear advantage or a clear way to disable the mugger.
- Yell for help in anger, don’t scream in fright.
- If you can run away, run toward help.
- Remain balanced if you see the mugger charging, and use his momentum to unbalance him.
- Attack the mugger’s weak points: Poke his eyes with your fingers; keys or pen; jar the nose with the flat reverse side of your fist; hand chop the throat; pull the hair; kick the shins; stomp the toes; kick or squeeze the groin; punch or kick the stomach.
- Don’t give the mugger any hint, such as a darting glance or a tensing of the muscles, that you may attack; Use the element of surprise.
- Use your body as a weapon; butt with your head; bite with your teeth; strike with your elbow; kick with your knee or foot.
- Learn self-defense moves by taking a class or consulting a book and practicing.
- Get a good look at the mugger and where he runs off to; Seek help immediately.

To JoJo’s point: I would rather see my daughter raped than dead, but better still, would rather see the attacker dead; which is why I bought my daughter a .357 revolver.
Since the government won’t lock up all the violent criminals, punks and gang-bangers I would suggest that we all, in the alternative, support the National Rifle Association.

Some good points have been made.I had rather have my wife alive and raped than have her dead.I would not have her fight back unless she thought she had an excellent chance of getting away. Sometimes these crazies will do their business quickly and go if the woman doesn’t protest. But nobody can know for certain what they will do.

Something I should have added: Do everything you can to stay out of an attacker’s car. You have much less chance of staying alive if you are taken away in a car.
I agree with JoJo, No more should be required from a woman than a man, but we have to do what we can to stay alive, regardless of if he is prosecuted or not.

Its true that you should not fight back if the mugger doesn’t act as if he will harm you, but if he lays hold of you, fight as hard as you can. Doesn’t matter how you do it. If you can grab his little finger and bend it back. That little finger breaks easy. Give him a knee kick in the grion or punch his eye out.

I hope if I am ever attacked I can remember these tips. I would yell my head off, I know that.

Carry your keys spread out between your fingers, and crawl under a parked car if need be. I would rather go home dirty and in one piece than to be beaten. All good tips, Ruby. Hopefully, we will never have to find out what works. Thank you for taking the time to put some good tips together.

I shudder to think what I would do if I were attacked. I would probaly curl up in a little ball. I think we don’t realy know until it happens to us. I hope I would keep my senses about me.

If one of these goons is after a woman, He will most likely get her, and if she protests to much he will main or kill her. better just use the sense God gave you and do what’s best for the moment.
