by This is a bit of fiction that shows how a Theater Arts major could react if his identity gets stolen. It shows how actors can assume character and how they can work together.
Identity Theft Victim Mike
The identity theft victim Mike MacDonald is a Theater Arts major at the University of New Mexico. .The final rehearsal of The Outlaw Jessie James was finished on a cloudy Friday evening at the UNM theater. Mike was the young man playing the lead character Jessie. He had to relax enough to hit the campus library and go on line. That’s because on opening night the cast always held a back stage party. Mike wanted to make sure his checking account still held enough to help pay for the beer. He easily linked to the First National Bank of Belen. The balance was way below zero. Some how a lot of money had been mysteriously withdrawn from his checking account. Mike gritted his teeth and looked over the display just like Jessie James watched any approaching threats.
Identity Theft Victim Thievery
The identity theft victim thievery was not hard to discover. It only took Mike roughly five minutes to discover there were two new credit cards in his name. They had been allowed into his checking account and had run it dry. When he discovered five thousand dollars had been charged to them through the Internet Mike fell directly into his stage character and Jessie James started yelling about how he should hunt the thief down just like an Indian scout.
Identity Theft Vitim Attitude
The identity theft victim attitude was hard to control Mike had to take several deep breaths before being able to get out of character and calmly sit back down in front of the desk top. He sang an old Hank Williams Junior song calmly in order to calmly get back on line. It wasn’t very hard to track down a spot that listed exactly what the credit cards had been used for. When Child pornography was displayed Mike inadvertently became Jessie James again. That switch in character made Mike punch his left palm with his right fist. While an outlaw Mike was able to hunt down just about every site that offered pictures of naked kids. Since there was no way to find out exactly who had purchased them pictures Mike had to think about having a beer backstage to relax enough to clear his mind.
