Is It Stealing?
Is it stealing if you take something unknowingly?
The other day I went to the store with my children. My 1yr old daughter was asleep so I opted to put her into the stroller rather than carry her in the store buggy. As we walked around the store we picked up a few items and placed them in on our stroller. The biggest thing I got was a package of 6 rolls of paper towels. I ended up putting those at the bottom of the buggy since that was the only place they would fit. Besides if I had put them on top, well I ran the risk of them tumbling over on my daughter. She woke up while we were still in the store and looked around at a few things. I grabbed a bottle of degreaser which kept falling over cause it didn’t have anything to hang on to. So I’m in this store with 3 kids, two of which will not listen each time I say lets go. Finally we make it to the check out, while I direct my boys each step of the way. On our way to the car my 4yr old wants the peanuts we just bought, so I pull over and open them up for him. That’s when I notice the package of $5 paper towels under the cart, that I forgot to pay for! Do I go back or just leave?

These things happen to most of us. When you have active kids taking up your concentration, it is difficult to see everything. However, I think I would return and pay for them, because now days, if anyone noticed, they would charge you with shoplifting.
