The drug using in Jamaica is a very big problem and it has become more and more that have begun, including children.
Today Jamaica is grappling with widespread poverty. The young people who succeed in obtaining a paid job in free trade zones are often the most fortunate and crime is a constant problem, especially in big cities, including drug use. Up to one million emigrated since independence and is proportionately probably the world’s largest Diaspora.
Crime, including violent crime, is a serious problem in Jamaica, particularly in Kingston. While the vast majority of crimes occur in impoverished areas.
I would like to go to Jamaica but I become insecure when I hear about all violence and crimes committed in Jamaica.
In order to prevent crime in Jamaica is quite difficult, because the bulk of Jamaica is poor.
One way that I think would work was if we could reduce unemployment and ensure that most criminals gets a job and that the food costs are reduced so that everyone can afford food.
We could also reduce the drug using by putting more laws to prohibit drugs.
I think it is a pity because it is a nice country.
Jamaicans are very courteous of itself even if you do not understand everything they say just because of their dialect (patwa). They show great hospitality on tourists, and that I know because my friends father is from Jamaica and he is very courteous.
