Kidnap Victim Found 18 Years Later: The Case That Shocked The World!

How can things like this happen? Too easily, it seems, from this horrendous case. Take a look at the Jaycee Dugard case…

The kidnapping of Jaycee Lee Dugard took place on June 10, 1991 and ended August 26, 2009. Dugard was abducted from a school bus stop within sight of her home in South Lake Tahoe, California. She was 11 at the time of her abduction, and was missing for over 18 years. On August 26, 2009, Dugard appeared in the office of her alleged kidnapper’s Parole Officer in California, and her identity was confirmed the following day.

Jaycee was kidnapped while her stepfather looked on helpless.  He tried to catch up with them on his bike but failed.  What a nightmare scenario!  The case caused this man and his wife so much stress that it broke up their marriage.  Then came the day when Jaycee phoned her mother.  Watch the videos and catch up with this very unusual story:

Kidnapped and held captive, she was raped and mentally abused, not even allowed to say her own name.  She was impregnated and gave birth to two babies.  She talks here of giving birth alone and in her back yard prison.

She speaks about giving birth.  This must have been a terrifying experience for a young girl with little knowledge of the birth process.

The conditions Jaycee and her daughters lived in.

A neighbour speaks out about knowing nothing.

The family reunion:

Jaycee wrote a book about her experiences, revealing how the police failed to help her, how she survived and how the justice system failed her.  31 years old, and free, she told of her years of ordeal at her captor’s hands.

Parole Officers visit the house 60 times and failed Jaycee.  Even when a neighbour phoned police when seeing girls in this known sex offender’s back yard this didn’t lead to freedom for her and he children she gave birth to.

18 years on and Jaycee’s captor starts acting very strangely, posting fliers about his strange religious beliefs all around a campus where two female law enforcement officers have alarm bells ringing.  Their suspicions raised, there were concerns for the girls.  Gut reactions are usually right and they found out he had a record for violent sex crime.  Her mother’s years of waiting, hoping, searching were soon to be over.  Parole Officers run Phillip Garrido in and he makes a confession.  The girl who was not allowed to say her name wrote it on a piece of paper to reveal her true identity.

Whenever I read about something like this, I wonder just how many other ‘missing’ persons are out there being subjected to this kind of treatment. I am glad that she survived it.

Awesome presentation. I could not bear the videos. God said we were to trust no man but God. Here’s proof, in this article that the world has no power to save. We are all incompetent without Christ. Yet, surely the law officials could have done better. Very glad she’s free and may she be free in Christ.
