Mysterious Disappearances

It is really not thates easy to disappear without a trace. But sometimes people do vanish without an explanation. The cases I am about to tell you about truly happened. I feel that is what makes them very mysterious.

There was a farmer near Selma, Alabama. His name was Orion Williamson. It was July of 1854 and he was sitting on his front porch one day, with his wife and child. He decided it was time to bring in the horses from the pasture. He left the porch, while his wife and child stayed. Walking out through the field he saw his two neighbors riding their horses, they waved hello to Orion. Then right before everyone’s eyes Orion Williamson just vanished!

Everyone immediately began to search the area. They could not find Orion, they found no hole or any clue to what could have happened to him. Orion’s wife brought in people from town with bloodhounds and they found no trace of him. He vanished without a trace!

Charles Ashmore of Quincy, Illinois was only 16. It was November 1878. Charles went out to get a bucket of water that night. Several minutes went by and he did not return. His father and sister began to wonder what was taking him so long, so they went to look for him. Outside in the fresh snow they could see his footprints, they were leading to the well and then they just stopped! Of course they searched for Charles but he was never seen again.

In Rhayader, Wales in 1909, this happened on Christmas Eve. Oliver Thomas who was only 11 years old also went to fetch water for his family. He had not been gone long when his family heard Oliver crying out for help! This young boy was screaming that someone had got him! By the time his family got out side, Oliver was gone. All that they found was his footprints in the snow. There were no other footprints!!

All of these people just vanished! None of these cases have ever been solved.
