Paedophiles to be Used as Human Guinea Pigs!
What a gratifying statement that would be!
What a gratifying statement that would be!
Could paedophiles really be used in human new drug trials?
I singled out paedophiles but this could also stretch to murders and rapists, after all men and women are actually paid handsomely by drug companies to allow themselves to be tested.
Animal testing still goes on despite the fact that their makeup is very different to ours.

Who would be against using paedophiles, murderers and rapists for new drug testing?
Human rights groups could be against the testing.
But on the 14th December 2009 Hilary Clinton, U.S. Secretary of State said;
‘Our human rights agenda for the 21st century is to make human rights a human reality. And the first step is to see human rights in a broad context.’

As far as I can see people sentenced to x amount of years in prison for a serious crime they committed are free from the oppression of tyranny and want – want for food, water, a roof under which to sleep, good health, counselling, and education.
It seems to me that most prisons provide better living conditions to start with than many people out on the streets get provided with.
When given a prison sentence some of your human rights are stripped from you to start with. In some countries your right not to be subjected to the death penalty is taken from you and I doubt you would be able to participate in free elections. Drug trials would not come under the freedom from torture and degrading treatment or normal people from the street would be unlikely to do them.
So what could that possible leave? Why would these misfits and baggage from our society, who have taken the innocence, spirit and life from people who we have known and loved, be allowed to wallow in self-pity for the rest of their lives?
Does it all boil down to money?
Surely making these blots on our landscapes earn their rights in prison and their keep, by giving something back to our society is a good thing.
It certainly doesn’t let them off the hook as it were but it does ‘kill two birds with one stone.’
Animal testing stops and our future medication is tested only on humans. The drug companies who submit the trials no longer have to pay humans to allow themselves to be tested on and it gives a purpose for spending billions keeping these men and women in prison long or short term.

Not to defend them at all, but many pedophiles were victims too when they were children.

i hate animal experiments, they can only squeal, but whos going to take any notice, theres plenty of people willing to take tests for money, so i think animal testing should be banned.

Good post. Heavy smoker most of my life. By my own judgment, not eligible for a lung transplant, yet if I was sentenced to prison and demanded one, it would be provided at tax payer\’s expense. Here in Florida not long ago an alcoholic prisoner was given a liver transplant. I helped pay for it. Let him now test new drugs.

We may never know how the human mind works if this was used would we stop at just pedophiles, what about murders, I agree about the prisons. Very well put article and it got me thinking good work from you.

Mark I know they are ill but two wrongs do not make a right. I know plenty of men and women that were sexually abused as children and they have not grown up to rape and ruin the lives of other children. Their behaviour is NOT and will NEVER be acceptable in our society.

Good article there has been some degree of testing or research I thought to remove sexual urges. I am dead against cruely to animals as well as the farms that breed animals with little concerns for the mother esp in pigs.

This has really got me thinking. I think it would be a good idea if it was optional. Half of me wants them dead for what they have done, but the other half thinks that it is morally wrong to kill people. This could be a way for them to do a small bit towards helping humanity.

A very powerful and well-written essay, Lisa. It makes me so sad when I think about the world we live in today and the depths modern society has fallen to.

sad thing that most human medications were tested first from animals.

I have a huge confusion in this. Can’t make up my mind, so I pass on commenting with a strong opinion.

Thought provoking post, Lisa.
There’s a part of me that thinks maybe not only paedophiles, but ANY long term prisoner. But there’s a rational side that reminds me that this human experimentation happened in Nazi Germany in the late 30’s, which in turn degenerated all the way to the holocaust.

Miss L…Next you’ll be promoting the old punishment of boiling them in oil!!! If they have been proven guilty beyond all doubt then I think they could be used in real life trials…but not in an experimental kind of way. Too many people have been framed and sent to jail when in fact they are NOT GUILTY of the crime for which they had been charged so there is a need to tread very carefully. I did enjoy you thought-provoking article as usual. Thanks.

I am not suggesting drug testing that wouldn’t be done on the general public that are right now doing the trials and getting paid for it but I for one would prefer my multiple sclerosis drugs to be tested on a human rather than an animal, one because animals react differently to humans and two I kind of prefer animals to a lot of humans!

at least this way these people have a chance to repent and do something for the benefit of society. In fact govt. should come up with some scheme regarding this. Well done!
