Payola still exist today. What was a major problem during Allen Freed days. Just didn’t disappear because we don’t read  or hear about it. What was alleged that Kenny Gamble, Nat Tarnopol, and Clive Davis name has been linked too. Doesn’t mean they did or didn’t do it. Just radio Dee Jays carry weigh behind their jobs to play a song. THE TEMPTATIONS Heavenly ballad was held hostage during the seventies by them over. So the song didn’t get alot of air play. In every occupation that exist, money is the key to many things. Not that it’s right. That just the way it is. Women today use the catch phase “You got to pay to play” with some of them.

Donald Trump is a classic example. Except for the first wive. The others only came the new wives because of money. Of course you deny the obvious. Hollywood in general is a pay to play game. Like the old casting couch. Give a little get a little. This is the truth. So to get air play you cut under the table deals. Some snitch, some don’t. Like a groupie, they not trying to be permanent. But payola wasn’t trying to get exposed. It just those who records didn’t played, just told. The record business is a under handed business. Just like the lawyers. Some honest and some are just as crooked than a curl.

So as much as the government try to crack down on the music schemes. A new one comes along.
