Pedophiles

Recent investigations have succeeded in find many pedophiles and have led to their arrest. An example of an arrest and capture of a pedophile is in September of 1995 when the FBI created a website titled “Innocent Images” which attracted more then a dozen pedophiles that wanted to add child pornography and soliciting children on the site. There are many websites where pedophiles get together, almost like a convention. An example of a website that was found alt.support.boylovers that many pedophiles created and aided to the construction of the site.

There are also many pedophile organizations such as NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association) which is an organization that wants to abolish laws against sex with minors as well as to release incarcerated men who are guilty of molesting children.

There are numerous commentaries indicating the controversial comments that have been made by the media with reference to pedophilia. Some commentaries indicated that society has stereotyped a person utilizing the name pedophilia. Indicating that the pedophilia is mainly used to describe an adult person who is attracted to children or minors but does not necessarily mean that they want or will have sexual relations with these children or minors – just that they are attracted to them.

There are many actions that are being taken to help with the deletion of pedophilia but it is an ongoing problem in society that will never disappear. Psychotherapy is the first typical source of help for the pedophile. Once they are therapy, the therapist can review and form a diagnosis as to whether this person may prove to be a good candidate for the Serotonergic medication. Serotonergic medications is when the male sexual hormone is increased and they are given medication to increase the serotonin in the brain, this may alleviate the sexual attraction or urge towards a minor or child. The third and final option of help for a pedophile is to be given medication that will decrease the person’s sex drive.

Unfortunately, most pedophiles will probably take the smart way out and go through a psychotherapist and make believe they are cured to go and do the dirty deed again. Once caught again, they will just see another Psychotherapist and the vicious cycle continues.

With the lack of moral and ethics in the world today, the access to the numerous websites and information on the web and the greediness for money, pedophilia and/or sexual exploitation of a child will be difficult to eliminate. For whatever reason, people thrive on hearing or seeing violence, trauma, and chaos. This has become a way of life and because of this, children around the world will go on suffering the consequences of what the generations have made of this world.
