Police Abuse of Animals

In New Jersey sexual molestation of animals is not a crime. I don’t understand why this is the case, even when sufficient evidence is present. A former New Jersey police officer has gotten away with this crime, even when a tape had been presented showing the officer molesting a cow. I think animal cruelty of any kind should be viewed as a crimie. The man in question had also been charged with sexual assault of three girls in 2008. How do people like this end up as police, this man is a criminal and should have been convicted of something. The cop had supposedly got off for lack of evidence.

The Internet is full of video proof of the kind of cruelty to animals that cops get away with. A video that I watched from 2010 really got me angry. In the video a harmless, submissive dog is shot twice and killed. The cops even if they are rookies should be smarter. The dog if thought a threat could have been taken by animal control to a pound or animal shelter. The dog then would have been put down in a more humane way if it was deemed the dog was to dangerous. Watch the video and see these two idiots as they kill the dog who showed no signs of aggression. I know people can see the dog wagging it’s tail. People who know anything about dogs know tail wagging is not a sign of aggression. The dog wouldn’t be wagging it’s tail even after being shot if it wanted to hurt the cops.

Cammie the dog in the video if she barked at all was only doing what came instinctively. The dog was a puppy and could not have known any better. If the cops could get a restraining pole around it’s neck, they could most certainly let a veterinarian decide if the dog was indeed dangerous. The dog would have been euthanized nice and clean, not shot twice, once in the face. The cop had the nerve to say he didn’t want the dog to suffer what a idiot. I know the cop wouldn’t want people to do him the same way if he was suffering from a gun shot wound. 

I will admit I’m a little biased because I don’t really like cops. I could write a huge article about police brutality against people, the stats are shocking. I love animals and I think police abuse against harmless animals is just wrong. A cop should be better trained to know the difference between potentially dangerous animals, and  a dog barking to protect it’s owner. I’ve had several dogs and a dog barking is a action driven by instinct to warn individuals to close to it’s owner. The dog will also bark to protect it’s marked territory or what we consider to be the land property of it’s owner. Just because a dog barks at you does not mean it will attack, a trained officer should know the difference. How do police have dogs as partners who are trained by them and not know this ?
