Police: What’s Your Take on Rising Corruption?
We hear about Police Corruption every now and again. Whether it is on the television, highlighted on the radio or newspaper reports. Are our police forces throughout the world “looking out for themselves” or are they actually doing what they are supposed to be doing: Protecting the Public?
Switch on the news and occasionally a story will tell of tales of police forces harbouring corrupt officers. Local newspapers at times report unscrupulous officers with their own hidden agenda. Tales of altering evidence or forcing confessions using underhand tactics on innocent people has been known to happen.
It happens across the world. But with the vast news coverage and the Internet, more and more of these shocking stories are finding their way to us, the public.
So what is happening? Are certain members of the force using their “power” and public status to masquerade their own criminal motives? Are courts and juries being misled by corrupt evidence highlighted in our courts?
Public faith in the police is at an all time low. Yes the majority of the police forces throughout the world do an excellent job in halting crime and catching the most deadly criminals and this should be noted. Yet there appears to be some rot amongst the good fruit and however we look at it that rot is spreading.

It would be interesting to hear of any stories you may have heard where corruption was proved or suspected.
Maybe you have lost faith in the police?
Or perhaps you believe the police are in actual fact doing what they should be doing without resorting to underhand tactics or forms of corruption?
Either way feel free to post your comments on the way YOU see the police today.

Please join me in asking all communities that their policing force be required to address all people they speak to as “citizen.” The psychological event which occurs when they have to do that will aid both them and the public.
