Quebec Child Pornography Case
The child pornography network began in Amsterdam where Robert Mikelson was arrested and confessed to sexually abusing dozens of children.
Four men have been arrested by the Quebec provincial police after it was found that these men have links to an international child pornography network.
The men whose names have not yet been released to the public are to appear in court on charges of possession, production and distribution of child pornography.
According to police, the arrests stem back to a huge crackdown on a child pornography network in Amsterdam in December 2010 in which Robert Mikelson was arrested and confessed to having sexually abusing dozens of underage children.
Robert Mikelson worked as a daycare worker and volunteered in several orphanages in Kenya.
After his arrest, police seized his computers and upon a thorough search on it, the police discovered various links to Quebec. This information was then swiftly passed on to the RCMP and to the Surete du Quebec, which led to the arrest of the four men.
A fifth man connected to the case has not yet been found.
According to the police, the arrested suspects could help provide leads to other people connected to the child-porn circle.
