Seized Arsenal in Hidalgo

Pachuca, Hidalgo .- In two operations, secured a military arsenal in Mineral del Chico, Hidalgo, among which include 38 rifles, five handguns, three grenade launchers, 10 hand grenades.

Through the Command of Military Region I and the Military Zone 18, the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) notes that in the framework of the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime within the regional operation “MINE-I -2012 “, the 9th of January , through specific work of analysis, troops conducted search and collection of information for planning and performing precision operations in the state of Hidalgo.

These operations are intended to weaken conclusively operational and logistical structures of criminal groups that have a presence in that state.

The Sedena abounded that derived from the intense work of analysis and monitoring of such information, allowed to locate a hole in the town of San Antonio , in the vicinity of the mine “San Juan El Gallo” located in the municipality of Mineral del Chico, where was found hidden inside, different material and tactical team members employed by organized crime.

By maintaining and enhancing the operation, at the same time, near the town in San MiguelSebastian Capulines, the same municipality, were located abandoned a vehicle inside which was weapons and equipment.

During such activities, with priority applied the principles of coordination, concentration of forces and unity of purpose, through a series of ground surveys of the area, and surprising simultaneously deployed troops with the aim of locating the exact locations, the deposits which were used as makeshift weapons.
