In Orlando Florida, jurors did not reach a verdict Monday. July 4th, in the Casey Anthony murder trial after deliberating for almost six intense hours on the prosecution’s claim that the young woman killed her 2-year old daughter, Caylee, because the toddler interrupted her carefree partying ways and her love life. Who knew that the freedom bells of the 4th of July would also be ringing for Casey Anthony. ( Let Freedom Ring ).
Not Guilty! Why did the jurors find her not guilty? The verdict was read once, twice and then a third time. Not guilty. ( Let Freedom Ring ). This brings back memories of another verdict that happened back in 1995. When O.J Simpson was acquitted for murdering his wife.
The young 25 year old woman was only convicted of four misdemeanor counts of lying to investigators, who were looking into the child’s June 2008 disappearance. When Anthony was interviewed she lied. But she had lied in fear of what? Her parents, the public, or both? The fact of the matter is, she was found not guilty by a jury of her peers. The verdict may give you the urge to splash cold water on your face and wonder about the court system.
The prosecutor lamented the lack of hard evidence. Yet they put everything together like a nice little picnic basket only to be shot down. They stated that they had the facts. The facts that their side thinks had enough weight to sink Anthony.
The defense states that it was a drowning accident. Was it a drowning accident and the people involved were too witless and ignorant to do the right thing that the results ended up even more tragic?
There were too many holes that sunk this case for the prosecutor. The medical examiner was not able to find the cause of death. The body was decomposed and the remain’s recovered offered very little or no tangible evidence.
My only question to the seven women and five men that made up the jury was why…
Why was it so important to cover up the accident and then hide the child. Why the sensationalism. Why did it have to happen that way. Was Caylee;s death so unimportant?
Just remember, a child frantic before death. A Car with decay odor, and detectives investigating the death of a girl they ruled homicide. But what they didn’t expect was the stamp on the coffin that read: No Charges Due.

That’s exactly what I thought. The smell of human decomposition in the trunk, the tape over the nose and mouth part of the skull, the tatto and partying while the child was missing, probably in the trunk of her car, besides all the lies covering up. I would think it was evidence enough for anybody. My partner said all the time she would get off but I couldn’t believe it until the end. I was totally shocked just as I was with O.J. Simpson.

I must say I didn’t know much about this case. It is so frustrating when the facts are there but not followed. I just keep thinking of that poor little girls last hours, seconds, moments.
I don’t understand why they couldn’t find cause of death, bodies from thousands of years ago can be pulled for their resting place and so much can be found out about cause of death.
Justice will be done for this little girl, maybe not today or tomorrow but it will be done.

A very well-written article. I agree. All they could say was not enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt for a guilty verdict. Well, she will get hers someday.
