Hay this is kacie and i don’t think that most gangs like the BLOODS are all that bad. I am friends with the BLOODS and they are not all that bad infact the only thing they do is sell and thats IT. Way to many people take ganges way to seriouse well get used to it it is all apart of life so…..

Not all gang members are bad. The ones who shoot innocent bystanders are bad, but not all of them are like that. Many people believe that if you're in a gang, you're a horrible person who should be shot. But the truth is, gangs can have positive effects on community.
For one thing, they keep the crime controlled. When a gang takes over an area, they don't want anyone else committing crimes. That means that there aren't going to be anyone outside of the gang robbing stores or dealing drugs. Gangs will usually kill anyone doing this, because they want to control the crime syndicate. Gangs will keep the crime in area controlled.
Now, of course they will commit violent crimes themselves, such as robbery and carjacking. However, they mostly sell illegal drugs. The drug trade is harmless to the community. It only affects the drug users who buy it from the gangs. So while gangs may commit some violent crimes, they're usually selling drugs.
