Top 10 Disappearances
Throughout history, many events throughout are parallel to the teachings of science: nucleic bombs, space and aliens, supernatural events, global warming and many others. Well, here’s another set ready to boggle your minds.

6. The Disappearing Diplomat- In 1809, British diplomat Benjamin Bathurst vanished while attending his horses. Bathurst had been returning with a companion from Hamburg after conducting business with the Austrian court. On their return they stopped at an inn to eat dinner in the town of Perelberg. After finishing the mean, upon return to their horse drawn coach, Bathurst’s companion watched as the diplomat stepped over to the front of his coach to examine his horses and simply vanished.

5. The Time Tunnel- In 1975 Jackson Wright was on his way from New Jersey to New York City with his wife. This trek required travel through the Lincoln Tunnel. Wright pulled the car over in order to wipe the windshield of condensation and his wife, Martha volunteered to wipe the back window. His wife disappeared. No foul play was found- Martha Wright had simply vanished.

4. The Norfolk Regiment- At 4: 15 p.m. on August 12, 1915 the 5th Royal Norfolk Regiment was lost. During the Infamous Gallipoli campaign of WWI, three soldiers claimed witness to an entire Battalion’s disappearance. They were at a clear viewing point as the Battalion (250 men) marched into a low- lying cloud without hesitation. When the last of the 250 men walked into the cloud, the low- lying cloud lifter off into the air carrying the faith of the Battalion. After the war the British, believing they were captured, demanded that Turkey return them but the Turks claimed that they had never seen nor heard from them. No one had made contact with these soldiers.


3. The Legend of David Lang- This particular case occurred in September, 1880 in Gallatin, Tennessee on a farm. George and Sarah, the two Lang children were playing in the front yard of the family house. Here, David strolled off towards his horses until he saw Judge August Peck, a family friend, coming along in a buggy. David turned and walked back and in a few seconds, David Lang- in full view of his family and judge- vanished mid- step. Emma, his wife, screamed and other witnesses rushed to the spot believing Lang had fallen through a hole. A through search of the area proved fruitless; a month later, the Lang children noticed that the grass had turned yellow and wilted in a circle about 15 feet in diameter.

2. The Stonehenge Disappearance- The standing stones of Stonehenge in England are already a mystery themselves. It becomes more mysterious though on August, 1971 when it results in the disappearance of several individuals. During this time, the Stonehenge was not yet protected by the public and so, on this night a group of “hippies” pitched tents in the middle of the circle and spent the night. They built a campfire and lite several cigarettes when their camp out was disturbed at 2 a.m. by a severe thunderstorm over Salisbury Plain. Lightning clashed with standing trees and even the stones themselves. Two witnesses, a policemen and a farmer, rushed to the scene arriving upon a vacated campsite. Only the circle of stones, tent pegs, and remains of the campfire remained.

1. The Vanishing Whole- In November 1930, a fur trapper by the name of Joe Labelle made his way to a thriving fishing community with whom he was familiar with. Upon arrival though, Labelle saw that the village of 2,000 men, women, and children was deserted. The authorities were notified and an investigation began which turned up mysterious findings: there were no footprints what-so-ever; all the Eskimo sled dogs were discovered buried under a 12- foot- high snow drift- they had starved. The last discovery remains one of the most mysterious: the Eskimo’s ancestral graves had been emptied.
