A Belleville, Ontario courtroom, Tuesday, heard how a disgraced Canadian armed forces colonel videotaped the brutal murders of two victims in a disgusting double life by the military officer.

Col. Russell Williams is quoted as telling one of his murder victims to “Shut up” as he wrapped her mouth and nostrils with tape and watched her suffocate after she had pleaded for her life.

A Canadian military flight attendant, 37-year-old Corporal Marie-France Comeau, pleaded for her life as she begged Williams to “Have a heart. I have been good all my life. I don’t want to die” near the end of a videotaped four-and-a-half hour ordeal in which she was brutally beaten, raped and then murdered, in November 2009.

Ms. Comeau had been under Williams’ command during his time as commander of Canada’s largest air force base at CFB Trenton.

 second rape/murder victim was 27-year-old Jessica Lloyd of Belleville.

In January of this year, Williams spotted Ms. Lloyd running on a treadmill in her home. He subsequently broke into her residence where he tied her up, cut off her clothes, repeatedly raped her before he took her to his home in Tweed, about 40 kilometres/25 miles north of the air base.

During her 24 hours of unlawful confinement, Ms. Lloyd was the subject of more than 900 shocking pictures and it was during her confinement that she asked Williams to take her to a hospital because of a seizure…a request which Williams denied which prompted his second murder victim to say “If I die…tell my mom that I love her.”

Williams subsequently strangled Ms. Lloyd, hid her body in his garage and then reported for duty at his airbase and proceeded to fly  a number of Canadian military troops to California for military exercises. Upon his return, Williams later moved Ms. Lloyd’s body to a wooded area hear his home – a location to where Williams would later direct police in the recovery of her remains.

Williams has been charged with the two count of murder, two counts of unlawful confinement and sexual assault plus 84 charges of break and enter when he stole items of girls’ and women’s underwear, panties, bras and other items of intimate clothing from homes in Tweed and the Ottawa suburb of Orleans. Williams carefully catalogued recorded each of the events that he involved himself in including the photographing of himself wearing the various items of underwear as he posed sometimes nude and sometimes in the intimate attire laying on the beds of his victims while masturbating into the underwear.

The commander of Canada’s largest and busiest military airbase during the time that some of the various offences were being committed appeared in Belleville court on Monday and pleaded guilty to all 88 charges laid against him.

The Ontario Supreme Court judge has yet to render his decision with respect to sentence, but the 47-year-old Williams, faces an automated life in prion with no change of parole for at least 25 years for the lengthy list of offences that began in September 2007 and continued until January of this year.
