What is Homicide?
by Any death which is caused by another human being, is considered a Homicide.
Some people get confused with the word Homicide. Homicide is from the latin term Homicidium which means “Human Being/to cut or to kill.” There are more then one type of death that could fall under the term Homicide.
A Homicide is not always an illegal act.
For example, someone breaks into your house, and tries to attack you. You fight them off with result of death.
In the courts this is considered self defense, which if you recieve anything at all most often Manslaughter. However the events leading to the death is still considered one human being(Homo) who kills(Cide). There for on the death documents, it will still read as a Homicide.
Any death which is caused by another human being, is considered a Homicide, never confuse the word Homicide with cold blooded murder.
