Will Casey Anthony be Convicted of Murder?
I’ve been looking forward to the day that notorious tot mom Casey Anthony’s trial began. Now that it has, my hope for justice is slowly diminishing. Unless you never turn on the news or pick up a newspaper, you’re probably already familiar with the Casey Anthony case.
It has certainly been a roller coaster of lies since Casey Anthony’s mother called the Orange County, Florida Sheriff’s Office to report that her two-year-old granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, was missing. As the missing child case was investigated, we learned some almost unbelievable lies that Casey had told. For example, she fabricated a babysitter named Zannie that actually never existed and she told her friends, family, and the authorities that she was employed by Universal Studios, even going as far as brining the authorities to Universal Studios to see her office. However, she finally admitted that she wasn’t employed there when she couldn’t produce an office. It was lies like this that obviously drew the authorities initial suspicions.
As time went on, Caylee’s decomposed body was found. We also learned facts like Casey did searches for “chloroform” and “neck breaking” on her computer, she waited over 30 days before finally admitting that Caylee had allegedly been kidnapped, and that she moved in with her boyfriend and carried on with a party-girl lifestyle as if nothing had happened to her child over the 30 days she didn’t say anything to anyone about Caylee‘s alleged kidnapping. Of course, there are many more details, but the point being that even a second grader could assume that Casey wouldn’t have behaved this unless she had some hand in her child’s death.
Casey held firm all of this time that Caylee was kidnapped. Now, her lawyer’s opening statement at her trial has shocked the world. Suddenly, Caylee drowned and Casey’s father, George, disposed of the body. Oh, but the reason it took five months to find the body is supposedly the morally corrupt meter reader that found the body. The defense wants us to believe that the meter reader somehow found the body, stored it away, and then claimed to discovered it later. Even more shocking, the reason that Casey allegedly went along with this elaborate accidental drowning cover-up was because her father sexually molested her.
I think the last point perturbs me the most. For better or worse, right or wrong, both of Casey’s parents have stuck beside their daughter from day one. They aren’t rich people, but they even posted her $500,000 bond during one of her arrests. Even today, they are still leaving her money at the prison she’s being held. Yet, Casey is marking her father as a child molester and possibly cause him to go to jail. As a victim of sexual molestation, I simply don’t buy her allegations. There’s no way that I would ever leave my child, as she did, with the person that sexually molested me.
Sadly, I do believe that Casey Anthony will walk away from the death penalty murder trial a free woman. The prosecution hasn’t wavered from their “missing child” approach and has failed to ask some key questions from some key witnesses. I believe in guilty until proven innocent, and I’m certainly waiting, praying for the prosecution to prove Casey Anthony guilty of murdering Caylee Anthony!

This woman is, in my opinion, a sociopath and I will be very suprised if she doesn’t try to throw her entire family under the bus before this is all said and done. In her mind, the ends justify the means and the end she is looking for is to get away with the murder of her child.

“You can bet the farm on it”. “Death penalty”. No matter what filth the defense comes up with, she can’t explain away all those photo’s of her partying the nights away while her daughter was suppose to be missing. What mother waits a month to report her two year old daughter missing. Death penalty, you can count on it……..good article.

Having worked for a defense criminal lawyer for a couple of years I tend to believe innocent until proven guilty and I do mean beyond a reasonable doubt. I have written many articles on questionable verdicts but, I did not write about this case because everything I have read does point to Casey’s guilt and her defense makes her look even more guilty.
I have wondered why Casey’s mother has stood by her because I know she believes deep inside that Casey killed her daughter afterall she is the one who called the police and even stated the car smelled like death. I know she loves her daughter, but, one would think she would want justice for her granddaughter and would fear that Casey would kill again the next time it was convenient.

A very intriguing case, but I do agree with you.
