Adult Swim’s New Game “5 Minutes to Kill Yourself” (Also Available on The iPhone)

So, were you as appalled about this new game as I was? Watching Family Guy one night on Cartoon Network, I happened to see a commercial for this game and just had to put my 2 cents in. This game is horrible. Not only is it strategically pointless but it also touch on a hot-button issue in our society, suicide. Suicide is the leading cause of death in teens and is something that causes a lot of emotional strife when talked about. But then when it’s put into game format, that’s when it crosses the line. The point of the game is to walk around the office and find various objects to try to kill yourself with. Some of these methods include: cutting your arm off with a paper cutter, urinating on electrically supplies, beating yourself with a staple, and smashing your head in a copy machine. I think this game should be banned and the creators fined at least. Suicide is an issue that should not be made fun of and should NOT be put into a form of “entertainment.”
