All Saints’ Day
I spent this day at home most of the time.
Early this morning, my daughter, husband and I went to the cemetery in order to visit our dead relatives. We lighted candles on the graves of my son, grandparents, relatives and friends. Lots of them I haven’t even lighted candles on some of them because I was not able to locate their graves. But I just lighted in the Big Cross located in the center of the cemetery for those graves that I skipped.
Because it’s still All Saints’ Day, there were only a few people around. I talked with my aunt who was cleaning the grave of her husband and parents-in-law. Her daughter was in the other side of the cemetery painting the other graves of some relatives.
We are living in a small city only and life here in the countryside is different from what we saw on TV, their cemeteries in Metro Manila is already swarmed with people visiting the graves of their relatives not like us here. Only a few yet came early this morning. At about 9:00 in the morning, I was already at home. I planned to go to my parents’ house but I became lazy. I just don’t want to go out. I just stayed at home. I cancelled all my appointments for this day.
Now, this is what I am doing. Writing an article for Triond as well as making responses to discussions in mylot. I just wish all of you out there to enjoy this holiday either at home or outside. Enjoy!!!!
