Sam Friedlander a 50-year-old attorney shot his wife and two children to death in Westchester, New York.
According to investigations, it is believed that the ‘nasty and bitter divorce’ Sam Friedlander was going through was what motivated him to commit such a heinous crime. The 50-year-old attorney was an associate counsel of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in Manhattan.
Police reports indicate that Mr. Friedlander shot his 46-year-old wife Amy while she slept. Amy was a former vice president of Chase Manhattan bank.
His children were 8-year-old Gregory and 10-year-old Molly. Friedlander also shot them to death while they slept in their beds.
According to police, the couple had no reports of domestic violence. Neighbors also said that the couple was in the midst of a bitter divorce. It is even believed that the couple was expected to appear in court tomorrow for their divorce hearing.
According to police reports, after shooting his wife, Mr. Friedlander went to the basement of their home and there he shot himself to death.
