BEIJING (AP) – Dozens of builders of the Xbox video game console in China threatened to commit suicide by jumping from the bedroom at the plant in a dispute over compensation is disabled but it highlights the growing labor unrest as the economy slows.
Workers said Thursday that last week’s colleagues in the factory plant in Wuhan Foxconn Technology jumped on the roof of the building of six floors and threatening to commit suicide.
Employees indicate that their colleagues angry after Foxconn announced the closure of an assembly line of Xbox and refused to compensate.
A government representative assured. Foxconn, which also makes iPads for Apple, Microsoft Xbox, and other electronic devices, declined to comment on this issue.
Strikes and other labor has increased in recent months as factories with rising costs and falling orders.
