Bobby Brown Denied Attendance to Whitney Houston’s Private Funeral?

Plans for 18,000 seater Newark, NY public funeral for Whitney Houston has been cancelled and new controversy over Bobby Brown attendance to Whitney Houston’s private funeral.

According to online reports from TV show Extra, the Houston family has asked that a public ceremony not be given for their beloved Whitney Houston.  Rumor had it that an arena in New Jersey near where Ms. Houston grew up was being possibly prepped for a public funeral for the mega-star who passed on Saturday, February 11.  Extra has reported that the following statement has been made by Newark mayor’s office, “In compliance with the family’s wishes the city is not moving forward with any public ceremony.”

In other news, Whitney’s Houston’s body arrived to Newark, Monday, February 13, and is being prepped at a New Jersey funeral home.  It is being circulated online that Tyler Perry is the one that arranged for her remains to be transported via private plane.  It is now expected that about 300 people will be invited to attend Whitney Houston’s funeral.  Cissy Houston, Ms. Whitney’s mother and her aunt Diane Warwick have selected beautiful Atlanta as Whitney Houston’s final resting place.  It is believed that although most of the family preferred that she would be buried in New Jersey, that her mother and aunt felt Atlanta was where their Whitney spent the most of her happy years.

Finally, it is a rumor that Bobby Brown, who obviously would want to be in attendance for the sake of helping to console his daughter, may not be permitted to attend.  Unfortunately, there is still controversy centered on the relationship of Bobby Brown and his ex-wife Whitney as him being part responsible for her career being damaged and getting involved with substances.  Only the family knows the full truth of their relationship and obviously if they will allow him to attend or not.
