Born to Die
A reflection on the fact that everyone born has to eventually die.
Death sounds such a horrible word. But then we were all born to die. No one can expect to live eternally unless they have some unrevealed secrets the world is not aware of.
Why should people be afraid of death? I certainly feel sad at the thought of losing someone dear to me like my husband or sister. Or I die before I enjoy the joy of motherhood. However, there is no way I will live my life fearing death. It will come when it has to, that is why we should all live today and enjot each and every day as the last one.
When I was fifteen and thought life was unfair, I’d think of death and welcome it. Sometimes death would be such an attractive subject. I was afraid of commitments fearing death will bring immense pain if I lost a close one. Now I do not fear it. I bear in mind the fact that everyone has to die, better later than sooner though, but everyone will eventually meet death one day or the other.
Maybe if we knew beforehand the exact day, time and date of our own death we would behave differently. We would prepare our journey of life and set precise goals.
