Fearing Death and How to Deal with It
Just a nice little article about dealing with the idea of dying.
For most people death is quite a frightening subject. Just thinking of it can worry people into a depression. The image of life just leaving you and never coming back does seem kind of unsettling huh? Well, I will express my personal opinion why and how I deal with it. You can deal with it too if you think of death in this way!
Why people fear dying:
1. They don’t know what happens afterward.
2. They’re afraid people will forget there existance.
3. They are fearful that dying will hurt.
4. If they believe in hell, then they fear that is where they will go.
How to deal with each Fear type (at least how I deal):
- Look up the possible things that can happen after you die that is known and decide which one you like best or believe most, and choose that as the one you will believe to happen when you die. Don’t forget, it can’t be anything worse then our current world unless you’ve done something that YOU feel deserves to put you in a bad place.
- If you fear you’ll be forgotten, do something that people will remember you for. It could be anyone, but as long as they remember then that should take away that fear right?
- Firstly, pain can only last for so long when your dying, though normally in that moment of death everything is almost unreal. It could be one of the most “painful” death’s known to man, but it’s the fear that causes such pain. Since when you die, things shut down so the real pain would most likely be like a small burning sensation for a few moments then end to a numbness. So don’t worry about the “pain”.
- If you fear your going to go to a dark place like hell, don’t worry. It’s never to late to make of for all the wrong you’ve done… as long as you realize it’s wrong. Even in your lasts breaths if you realize then you made a mistake of some sort and feel that remorse, that is what makes you human. Then their should be no fear of going some where bad as long as you know what you did and feel some need to do right.
Anyways, so hopefully this condolences you in some way on dealing with the idea of dying. =) Comment if you like or have other fears you would like condolence on!
