Horrific Deaths

There are many ways we can die, some of them not so bad, but others could be described as horrific. I suppose we all have our own ideas on what we would consider a horrific death, so let your imagination roam and in doing so, I’m going to list the deaths that I would personally find horrific. I wonder if you the reader would agree?

1. Caught in a burning hotel, no way to escape the raging fire, only to jump to certain death, rather than be burned to death.
2. Working on a building such as the Empire State Building, cleaning windows, only to have your ropes break and as you plunge to earth the thoughts that must be going through your head, knowing that when you land unless saved by a miracle, it means certain bone crushing death.
3. Being grabbed by a Great White Shark and ripped in two.
4. Going off the road in your favorite car, into a freezing lake. You have but minutes to escape or freeze to death. Can you survive frigid waters?
5. Being washed over-board in high sea’s no life jacket, and you can’t swim.
6. Having cement over-shoes put on your feet and pushed over the dock to die by drowning.
7. Led out to a field to be shot, knowing there is no way to escape.
8. Being run over by a truck or a train and knowing it means certain death.
9. Being electrocuted very painful and deadly. Very few get to tell their stories.
10. Having your body crushed, knowing it’s a matter of minutes before you are crushed, and you have no way of stopping it.
11. Living in some strange Country, held captive, knowing that at any time you could be be-headed.
12. Jumping out of an airplane, your parachute doesn’t open, the emergency parachute either, plunging to certain death, very few have survived this kind of fall.
13. Knowing that the airplane you are flying on is about to crash into the ocean. The chances of survival, not good.
14. You are in a very bad car accident, pinned down with lots of cuts, no help in sight and you are a bleeder. certain death can almost be counted upon, unless someone rescues you.
15. Being put to death by lethal injection, they don’t always work the first time.
16. Though not now used, imagine being gassed to death in a gas chamber.
17. Electrocuted for murder.
18. Hanging, if the rope isn’t tied properly they get to hang you again, if you don’t die the first time.
19. Being caught by a Boa Constrictor and crushed to death, maybe even eaten before you are fully dead.
20. Picked up in a large Snow Blower, used to clear highways, it’s only a matter of seconds, but there’s almost a certainty that unless you don’t see it happening to you, you will feel the blades cutting you in pieces.

There are probably many other ways of dying a horrific death. I wouldn’t want to die any of the ways listed above. You the reader may think of many other horrific ways to die, but these ones listed above are scary enough for me.
