Liberal simply means generous, as opposed to mean. And Jesus was not mean, and was political, in the broadest sense of the word. And surely God must have a sense of humor, to create in His own image we who have one.

The leg of lamb made me laugh! The only thing we can be 100% sure of in life is that eventually we’ll die, and humour is a great way of dealing with all the conflicting emotions associated with that certainty. A great article.

dr atkins did not die of weight related issues…he slipped on ice and banged his head and never regained consciousness…
as someone who works in hospital and who encounters death on a daily basis,and who indeed has had two hugs from the grim reaper himself,death is not all that bad…humour is the best way to deal with it…whether your stories are true or not is immaterial…they are funny…
