Transform Your Life After the Loss of a Loved One

Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult challenges you can face. I recently lost a loved one and coped using the following advice and techniques.

Practice some Yoga so it can help you maintain your sanity and balance your life. Draw closer to your love ones that is still living. Joining a support group will help you with not being alone. You won’t be left with extra time to think about the love one you have lost. Cherish the spirit and memory of the loved one you lost.

Think about the funny and fun times you had with your love one. Make yourself available during holidays. It’s the hardest part of the year when dealing with the lost of a love one. You need to know that grieving can take a life time.  Depending on the person who passed. Or what kind of relationship you had with that person. Make sure you spread your love to all of your family members even more. Know that your love one is not suffering anymore! It is very important to turn your pain into knowledge. You can do this by simply taking on a task. Think of something that you have been wanting to do, but never got around to starting or completed a project. Believe me it works!*Make sure you do not stay in the grief to the point where it is affecting your life because you could loose yourself. Or you could have a nervous breakdown.

Make sure you let someone know if you feel like you want to die to be with your love one. I had a girlfriend that lost her mother two years ago. This friend of mine did not want to seek professional help. She felt like she could handle her feelings. One day she woke up feeling that she had know purpose for life. She commited suicide that very same day. Know one got the chance to talk to her. You never know when the moment hits you. After all, her mother had been dead a couple of years before she did what she did. So it is always good to have a support person around you in the event of loosing a love one.
