Weird Superstitions About Death
by Death is the most dreadful and fearful part of everyone’s life. All of us want to be away from death. People used to believe that certain incidents will take them closer to death. Here are some interesting and weird superstitions about death.
- If a robin flies into room through a window, death will shortly follow
- If a clock that has not been working suddenly chimes, there will be a death in the family
- Hold your breath while going past a cemetery otherwise you will breathe in the spirit of someone who has recently died
- If a dead person’s eyes are left open he will find someone to take along with him
- A person who dies on Good Friday or midnight on Christmas Eve will go straight to heaven
- If dogs howl at night there will be a death before day light
- All windows should be kept opened at the moment of death otherwise the soul cannot leave the body
- If three people are photographed, the middle person will die first
- If the buried person was good, flowers will grow on his grave. If the person was bad or evil, weeds will grow.
- Funerals on Friday indicate another death in the family during the year
- If 13 people sit down to eat together, one of them will die before the year is over
- Dropping the umbrella on the floor is an indication of murder in the house
- Twitching of left eye signifies a death in the family
- If the mirror falls and breaks by itself, some body in the house will die
- Pointing at the funeral procession will cause you to die within a month
- If you do not cover your mouth while yawning or sneezing, your soul will go out of your body along with the yawn or sneeze
- Counting six crows will cause death
- To see three seagulls flying together overhead is a warning sign of death

Hi Valli: What do you mean “People used to believe….” . I still know people who are afraid of death and believe in these superstitions, or, should I say coincidences. Thanks for the post. It’s always amusing to see what unrelated events scare people to death. Thanks.

alot of this has actually hapend to me
my friends grandfather was siting with 13 people and he died a couple days later…..
the other one was the 3 people in one picture i belive in that because my boyfriends cousin was in a picture and he was in the middle and if you look closly in the picture he doesnt even seem like he was even in the picture…si ub some points i belive this
