What Exactly Push People to Commit Suicide?

One of the silent disasters in today’s society is the number of people who, miserably, take their own lives.

One of the silent disasters in today’s society is the number of people who, miserably, take their own lives. Who is to hold responsible for this travesty? Since there is never a single person to blame, the entire society should take legal responsibility.

Death is always a hard topic to talk about, suicide even more so, but whereas death possibly will not be stoppable suicide most surely is, which is why we have to dig deep to discover the factual motive behind it.

The frequently heard justification is that persons who commit suicide are basically depressed people, but certainly this is an sweeping statement as plenty of men and women around the globe have very convincing reasons to be unhappy, yet a disproportional high number of people about whom have relatively little to worry, such as youngsters in middle-class families, still take their own lives.

So what is the actual reason that make it happen? Depression may very well be a reason, but there seems to be no straight connection between it and suicide. Perhaps no one, not even the victim himself, can give the clear-cut answer.

You are right it is a hard topic to talk about but you have written it well a good job from you. not many people like to talk about suicide maybe this is why there are no answers to this not yet anyway.

It’s a real poser. I knew a distant relative who committed suicide after it was exposed that he was having an extramarital affair, an acquaintance who was caught embezzling from wife’s company and a friend who had a terminal disease. None was depressed in the clinical sense.

Indeed, the answers are often murky to find in the darkness of suicidal behavior. A very provocative article that explores the surface of suicide and some possible explanations. Nicely written and looking forward to reading more from you.

Different personalities need different things, but if the several things you need to make you happy have not come about, and one comes to the conclusion that they can’t be attained then this can lead to a downward drift of the attitude and perspective.

I’ve volunteered in this field…..every single case is different. That’s the hardest part for relatives to deal with, as they often have no idea at all. And then the guilt begins for them. But I can assure you, those that take their lives are not thinking about those they leave behind, and not for selfish reasons either, they are just so incredibly desperate.
