What is Death? Where Does the Afterlife Lead Us?

If you think about it, we are just flesh and blood. We are human, like other animals, we do certain things to survive. Everytime I think about death, it just seems more and more confusing. Right now you are sitting down, reading this article, but where would you be after you die?

Not to get into religion, but lets say there was none, there was no place that anyone believed that they would go when they die. So, what happens. Is it just blankness? Black? No feeling, no emotions, no pain or vision, hearing is all gone. You are just nothingness. It is a complicated thing to think about.

In the new terminator movie, the character Marcus ends up on death row, he dies and is later reborn for a higher purpose, maybe this would become of us? If you think about the big picture, we are really all just a bunch of animals on a planet, in a vast and endless “space”. It is a hard picture to get in your head, but the more I think about death, the more scared I get.

Sometimes I also feel like I have past memories, I try to think back to before I was born, it is a hard thing to do, but I try. I get akward feelings, like there is something there but I see nothing, it makes my mind stop, and it feels aggitated, like I shouldn’t be thinking of such a thing.

Where do we all go when we die? If there is no God(s), then who is there to take is? Will we be reborn? Will we just forget about the life we just lead, and be born as a new person? It is all interesting and teasing questions, think about it. Just wounder, what will happen after death?
