Veterans: Employment After Duty
Veterans struggle after enlisment.

In today’s economy, how hard is it to really find a job and get hired? Veterans seem to have the most difficulty in this area. Those going for disability after they get out are told after a certain percentage, they cannot work or they will lose part of their disability. If a soldier has been injured and their legs aren’t as good as they used to be, they could get disability, but that does not mean they are helpless.
If a vet has diability, don’t treat them like a leper, if they are able to do the job, let them. Most vets, unless seriously handicapped, can in fact do most thing very well even with their disability. We as vet fought for those rights, shouldn’t they apply to us as well? We fight for everything America stands for, yet we get put down and declined more often than nought than civilians.
If we didn’t fight, people wouldn’t have the freedoms they enjoy today, so why treat us worse? What have e done that provokes discrimination? The answer is, ‘nothing’. We are just average people that were hired to do a job. We are like the police and firefighters, yet the American people have made us outcasts. So, you tell me, do we really deserve the treatment we receive today. Example, it took me two years bugging the VA to even get my first appointment for my disability, and I am going throught it still today to get it. I want to hear what you think, do you believe it is right for us to be treated this way, or should we just not come home at all?
