An Inward Slope
A look at how to propel yourself as a woman in sliding economical times.
This doesn’t cover every woman who is unable to find work, understandably, because there are those of us out there that for some reason or another, may not be able to do any of these things. Whether its a lack of credit, a lack of financial stability, recent divorce, or a combination of many things, it is extremely difficult to get a little something when one has nothing to start with. This is a part of our economy that many people do not realize because they have had some kind of head start, or early advantage, such as parents that helped them with credit or bills or college loans, living situations, or knew someone who got them into a decent job. Some women however, have not been so fortunate, and have had to start from zero; sometimes more than once. Starting from zero can seem insurmountably full of obstacles, and of course, options at zero are considerably less, and economies like the one we are dealing with now compounds the obstacles. We as women, should always be vigilant about helping other women less fortunate, whether it be with a job, a baby-sitter, financial help or even as a friend. If women helped other women as much as, or more, than we expect men in higher standing to help, perhaps we would all be further ahead.
