Bailout or Showdown: Led by the Nose 3

During the day, with all the announcements of the failure of the credit market, the demise of the tourist/airline industry and the collapse of everything we have held dear, I stop and ponder, what’s going on in this world today.

I do believe, the economic stimulus is a personal stimulus of respect, caring and providing, one for the other…not our nation trying to control and provide for all of us individually.  It’s too grand to even conceive, but denotes a lack of responsibility where responsibility belongs, in the hands of the Mother and Father to instill values, morals and ethics in their children to pass on to future generations.

Perhaps, going back to a barter system, which is what money is supposed to represent, would not only increase the productivity of the world, but end the needs for possessions instead of wholeness.  Has anyone been to a Habitat for Humanity building project and volunteered?  Has anyone given of their time just because they can, without fear of going bankrupt?  Where are the true patriots that seem only to exist in the past?

All these things are very viable questions in today’s world, where we deny life enhancing things to a lot and provide them for the few.  These things remind me of the historical references to slavery, not only here, but through the ages where people were enslaved to support “regimes” of power instead of the people themselves.

There are some shining stars out there, the petrochemical companies, now in a concerted effort, to adapt and solidify eco friendly enhancements to their products and services.  Some companies have taken the green energy concepts and ideals to great heights already and should be commended and supported for their efforts.  One in particular, has developed a process for producing petrochemical products from algae, what a miraculous concept!   Another is taking enzymes and replacing toxic cleaning and sanitation solutions and concepts to a very eco friendly dispersion of waste.  Consumer greed/confidence is turning around, very slowly at best, but it is by the break down of the credit markets and the collapse of the financial institutions worldwide.

As we go through these things, I don’t believe anyone knows what the outcome will be, but, for me, I hope and pray for a back to basics analogy of life and that we begin to see the needs of those around us, and where we have plenty begin to share wholeheartedly.  If you see a need, try to help fulfill it, without question and without recognition.  I you have a viable need, do what you can to fulfill it and don’t be ashamed to ask your neighbor to help.

I could put this on a religious standpoint, but, I sincerely feel it is a much more spiritual aspect of life.  “Do what you will, but do no harm to others” denotes having a good life, sharing that life and not intentionally harming anyone.  Take a look at yourself and really see what you are doing right now.  It may be a wonderful eye-opening experience as we go through the days together.

Peace be with you!

Buck, on the whole I agree with you,and they are lofty ideals. But I grew up one of those commune flower children Do you not remember that glorious govtof ours shot down its own citizenry for disagreeing.
As for your response toward the oil companies and the other global corporations seriously going green all I have to say is be careful of the wolf in sheeps clothing. Do you honestly believe that we are in Iraq for lofty ideals and they just happen to be one of the leading oil producing countries

Sir, believe, with all sincerity that we are there just for the oil, no other reason, Economics.
